The Rubber Fig is well-recognized as a low-maintenance ornamental plant. The "Ruby" still has that same easy-to-care-for qualifier but with distinct glowing pink leaves! The only thing you must be cautious of is that this version is not as shade tolerant as the non-variegated form. Yes, the "Ruby" can survive in lower light, but you may start to notice the pink/white disappearing, known as "reversion."
CARE:
- Does best in consistent bright indirect light
- Rotate often to ensure even variegation and growth if foliage
- Allow the first 1/3-1/2 of soil to dry between waterings-This plant hates wet feet!
- Leaves tend to collect dust quickly. Gently wipe the leaves once a week for optimal photosynthesis.
