This plant is an excellent low light option. The peace lily has deep green leaves and attractive flowers...that interestingly enough, are not actual flowers. The white portion is a "bract." This is a hood that grows over the flowers. The actual flowers are the spikey-textured cylindrical part of the plant. Please note that the peace lily is a tad on the dramatic side. It can appear wilted on the verge of death. At this point, simply give it a good drink, and it will bounce right back. Be mindful that this plant is much better off underwatered than overwatered!
CARE:
- Does well in most light conditions except for the direct sun
- Does well in medium-low light, but bright indirect light is needed if you desire an abundance of flowers
- Allow the first couple inches of soil to dry between watering
- Appreciate humidity
