In the wild, the BOP has evolved to naturally tear along its lateral veins to let strong winds pass. This lessens the risk of its stems snapping in half during inclement weather. Grown indoors, the BOP can grow up to an impressive size. With the right care and maintenance, the BOP can be a stunner of a houseplant in any space it's placed.

- This plant requires quite a bit of light to thrive
- It can tolerate several hours of direct sun daily or consistent bright indirect lighting
- Maintain medium-high humidity
- Ensure that it is planted in a well-draining potting soil mix paired with a planter with drainage holes!
- Water when the first 1/3 of the soil is dry
- In the summer months, it's a heavy drinker so water accordingly
