The leaves of Philodendron joepii are highly distinctive, with a long, narrow midsection that expands into two broad, ear-like lobes at the top, while the lower part of the leaf narrows into a pointed tip. This gives the leaves a highly unusual, almost whimsical shape. As it matures, it gradually develops these elongated leaves and displays its climbing/crawling tendency. This plant benefits from being grown on a support, such as a moss pole or trellis, where its leaves can spread out and be displayed to their full effect.
CARE
- It does best with consistent bright-indirect light- avoid prolonged exposure to strong afternoon sun during the summer months as this will scorch the leaves.
- Appreciates high-moderate humdity
- Allow first 1/3 the soil to dry before watering
