Titanopsis calcarea is a small, low-growing succulent with a unique and eye-catching appearance. It forms rosettes of textured, fleshy leaves that are most commonly grayish-green or bluish-green, but they can exhibit various shades of green, gray, brown, and even purple. The gradient of colour can be impacted by varying exposures to light (both intensity and duration), so you may notice gradual changes of colour throughout our ever-changing seasons! You may also see small, flat blooms that resemble daisies emerge from the center of the rosette during the summer months.
CARE:
- This plant does best with consistent bright, indirect sunlight. A few hours of MORNING sun is beneficial, but avoid prolonged exposure to direct afternoon sunlight, which can scorch its leaves.
- It prefers a low-humidity environment.
- Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, then give it a thorough drink-bottom watering is recommended.
- Avoid overwatering and ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogged soil, which can quickly lead to root rot.
- This plant is incredibly sensitive to being overwatered and can "burst" if overwatered
- Avoid using heavy potting soils or soils that retain too much moisture, so opt for a well-draining, gritty potting media.
