The Rat-Tail Cactus is characterized by its long, slender, cylindrical stems with a trailing or cascading growth habit. This makes it ideal for suspended or wall planners or on an elevated surface where it can drape elegantly over the edges. The stems are green, with a slightly ribbed texture, and covered in small, bristly spines. The spines are fine and white or yellowish, giving the plant a somewhat fuzzy appearance.
CARE:
- Place the plant where it can receive consistent bright, indirect sunlight. A couple of direct sun is beneficial
- Protect from cold drafts and low temperatures.
- It does best with moderate humidity but can easily adapt to household humidity
- Water when the top 1/2 of the soil is dry
- This plant is a much heavier drinker in the summertime, so water accordingly!
