Cotyledon pendens feature trailing stems adorned with fleshy leaves and may develop a purple/reddish tint in response to prolonged exposure to light. While Cotyledon pendens is primarily grown for its foliage, it may also produce small, bell-shaped flowers under the right conditions. These flowers usually appear on older stems, typically pink or orange, adding a delicate and charming touch to the plant's trailing stems.

Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Pencil Cactus is drought-tolerant and can withstand periods of dryness. It's best to err on the side of underwatering rather than overwatering, as too much water can quickly lead to root rot.

To thrive indoors, consistent bright, indirect sunlight with a combination of direct light is best. Southern or western exposures are ideal.

If you want to place it outdoors during the summertime, it can tolerate full sun but may need protection from intense afternoon.
