This fascinating plant is commonly known as the "sensitive plant" or touch-me-not plant due to its ability to fold its leaves and droop in response to physical touch or when subjected to a sudden change in light or temperature. The interactive plant features delicate compound leaves that are fern-like in appearance. Each leaf is composed of numerous small leaflets arranged along a central stem. The leaflets are bright green, oval-shaped, and have a slightly wavy texture.
CARE:
- It does best with a combination of dappled and medium to bright indirect light-avoid exposing it to harsh, direct sunlight as this will quickly scorch its delicate leaves.
- Does well in moderate humidity
- Maintain slightly moist but not waterlogged, so water when the top inch of soil is dry- do not allow the soil to dry out completely.
