The “Cracklin Rosie” is recognized for its striking leaf pattern. The foliage features deep green to near-black tones highlighted with bright pink speckling. The leaves are slightly curled and have a crinkled, almost iridescent surface that catches light from different angles. It grows in a compact, mounding habit, forming a dense cluster of richly coloured foliage. Like most Begonia, it can produce small flowers that rise just above the leaves, which adds a soft contrast to its dramatic dotted foliage.
CARE:
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid harsh midday sun, which can scorch leaves, while long periods of low light can dull its iconic colour
Keep soil slightly moist, not soggy. Water when the first 1–2 inches of soil is dry. Do not let soil fully dry out.
Prefers medium to high humidity. Crispy leaf edges usually indicate it needs more humidity.
Avoid letting water sit on the leaves, and ensure adequate airflow as Begonia are susceptible to powdery mildew
