Dischidia Philippines 4.5” hanging basket

 Originating from Southeast Asia and the Pacific region, this epiphytic species is the underrated distant cousin of Hoya. Dischidia have evolved to thrive in tropical rainforests, where they often cling to tree branches and absorb nutrients from the air and rain. Like most epiphytic species, they develop intricate root systems that serve as anchors, allowing them to cling effortlessly to surfaces. Blooms are often petite, star-shaped, and typically a deep red colour for the Dischidia Philippines. 

CARE:

• Thrives in consistent bright, indirect light. It can benefit from direct morning sun but should be shielded from harsh midday rays.
• Water sparingly, allowing the soil to nearly dry out between waterings.
• Moderate humidity is appreciated but it can be adapted to household humidity.
