The Rubber Fig is well-recognized as a low-maintenance ornamental plant. The "Ruby" still has that same easy-to-care-for qualities but with distinct glowing pink leaves! The only thing you must be cautious of is that this version is not as tolerant of lower light conditions as the non-variegated form. Yes, the "Ruby" can survive in lower light, but you may start to notice the pink colouring decrease or dull as known as "reversion."

CARE:

• Thrives in well-lit indoor spaces- a combination of bright indirect and direct light. Be careful to limit exposure to the direct afternoon sun during the hottest months as this can scorch the leaves.
• The intensity of the pink tones is usually correlated with consistent exposure to light. 
• Allow the first 1/3-1/2 of the soil to dry before watering. Do not keep soggy soil as this plant hates wet feet!
• Moderate humidity is appreciated but this plant is adaptable to household humidity
