Gasteria batesiana Kyaka, 2.5" Pot

Gasteria are slow-growing succulents native to South Africa, admired for their thick, sculptural leaves often patterned with soft speckles or raised textures. Unlike many other succulents, they don’t demand intense, all-day sun to look their best. While they won’t thrive in dark corners, they can comfortably tolerate periods of medium to lower light without significant stretching. With bright indirect light and mindful watering, Gasteria are dependable, long-lasting houseplants that can be  especially well-suited to Canadian homes, where natural light levels shift with the seasons.

CARE: 

• Does best with consistent bright indirect light 
• Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering, then thoroughly water and let any excess drain away. Do not leave your plant sitting in soggy soil as consistently wet roots will quickly lead to rot.

• Household humidity is fine for Gasteria. In fact, dry air is perfectly fine for this desert native. Keeping them in consistently humid areas like bathrooms or right next to the shower, where excess moisture is present can encourage rot.
