Monstera deliciosa in 6”pot

This split-leaf beauty is commonly referred to as the "swiss cheese" plant due to the holes on its leaves, called "fenestrations." Typically, the more mature the Monstera, the more fenestrations we see. This beauty would undoubtedly be considered a statement plant. The Monstera Deliciosa can grow to be very large, and its larger-than-life foliage takes centre-stage. Don't be alarmed by the long brown pieces on its stalk. Monsteras are natural climbers, and these are the plant's "ariel roots. You can use a pole or trellis for the ariel roots to cling onto to guide the Monstera's growth. 

CARE:

• They do best with consistent, bright, indirect light. A few hours of direct morning or late afternoon sun can be beneficial. It can tolerate lower light levels, but its growth may be slowed in dimmer areas. Avoid prolonged periods in direct afternoon sunlight, which can scorch or fade the leaves.
• Moderate to high humidity is appreciated, but it is adaptable to household humidity.
• Allow the first 1/3 of the soil to dry before watering.
• Provide a sturdy pole or trellis as the plant develops.
