Purple Shamrock Plant ( Oxalis triangularis ) 6” pot

The Oxalis triangularis is prized for its ornamental value- striking purple foliage and delicate flowers. In its natural habitat, it grows as an understory plant in forested areas, receiving filtered sunlight and moderate moisture levels. Oxalis may enter a period of dormancy during the fall/winter months, during which it may lose its leaves and thin out.  At this time, reduce watering and allow the plant to rest until new growth emerges in spring.

CARE:

• Does well with bright indirect light and can tolerate a couple of hours of direct morning sun 
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sun during summer, as this can wilt or burn the leaves. 
• Maintain slightly moist (not soggy) soil, especially when you observe new growth. Water when the first inch of soil is dry- do not allow the soil to dry out completely. 
• Appreciates moderate humidity
