Parsley Aralia ‘Elegans’ (Polyscias fruticosa) 4” pot

The Polyscias fruticosa ‘Elegans’ is a dwarfed variety that is prized for its compact growth habit and finely divided, feathery foliage. Its delicate, lacy leaves create a soft, elegant appearance. Over time, its trunk becomes woodier giving the plant a miniature tree-like character.

CARE:

• Thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate moderate light but will grow more slowly. A few hours of gentle morning sun is beneficial, but avoid prolonged harsh afternoon sunlight which can wilt and yellow the foliage. 
• Allow the top 1/2 of soil to dry before watering thoroughly. Do not keep soil consistently soggy as this can quickly lead to root rot. 
• Prefers moderate to high humidity but adaptable to average household humidity. Increased humidity encourages fuller growth and helps prevent leaf drop
• Avoid moving the plant frequently. Try to keep in a stable environment away from drafts. It’s not uncommon for this plant to shed some  leaves after being moved or when adjusting to a new environment or with seasonal change. This is a normal response. At this stage, keep it in a stable environment with sufficient warmth, light, and humidity. It will acclimate and start to produce healthy new growth again.
