This plant has succulent, green velvety stems that are typically four-sided and grows in a clumping, upright manner that typically spreads over time. The most remarkable feature of Stapelia are its showy flowers - large star shaped blooms!
CARE:
- Provide bright, indirect sunlight. This plant can tolerate a few hours of direct sunlight, especially in the morning, but too much intense light can cause the stems to burn or discolour.
- Protect the plant from cold drafts.
- Avoid allowing water to pool on the velvety stems.
- Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
